Jane trained at Manchester School of Theatre and did a post-graduate training in voice at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
As a professional actress she worked in television (Coronation Street) and spent 10 years in rep (Derby, Sunderland, Sheffield, Durham, Lincoln and Cardiff). She toured the UK with Interplay Theatre Company playing Kate in The Taming of the Shrew and performed in a national tour of ‘Godspell’.
Her directing work includes ‘Flipside’(a one women show) at the Edinburgh Festival and operas at the Donmar Warehouse, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Buxton, Brighton and Barcelona Opera Festivals.
She continues to work at L.S.C as a Drama/Voice Tutor; Director; Lecturer; Company & Stage manager.
Since 1986 she has worked as senior Voice/Acting tutor and lecturer at the London Studio Centre and Theatre Director.
