Professor Henry Higgins takes it upon himself to transform a Cockney working-class girl - Eliza Doolittle, into someone who can pass for a cultured member of high society.
This famous play was turned into the all-time classic MY FAIR LADY, starring Audrey Hepburn and Rex Harrison.
by George Bernard Shaw
Working as a class and in small groups, we will read and rehearse short scenes from the play, discussing objectives, characterisation, timing and ways into delivery of the text.
The afternoon will comprise several runs of each scene, to give participants a chance to respond to direction and develop the scene. Feedback will be given throughout.
