Each short course focuses on improving your
English vocabulary and  pronunciation using ~
a range of material, including

* extracts from published plays
* poetry & prose
* public speaking

The class will work as a group and in pairs
on the same material to enable students to
listen and learn from one another.  

Handouts of new material will be given at the
end of each session for the following week.  

Each session begins with revision of
the previous week’s material so that
progress is cumulative and speedy.

The main aim is to bring the speaking voice
alive to improve clarity and projection
and expand confidence in using the
English Language in different settings.

Each participant will rehearse solo
speeches and scenes with other actors
from published plays (classical, modern and contemporary European plays across a range
of genres, including drama and comedy.

Each participant will also participate in one of our
3-hour Acting Tasters as a preliminary session prior
to the start of the course.  Acting Tasters provide an overview of basic acting and vocal technique and include improvised scenes.  This gives the tutor an excellent insight into each student’s personality, skills and confidence, which helps her select the right material to interest and challenge each student, and which they will enjoy learning and rehearsing.
